How to size Jewellery
Jewellery sizing can sometimes be tricky business. Therefore we've tried our hardest to make the ultimate guide to help you on your way to choosing the perfect fit for you.
Rings can be difficult to get right, as the size you need may vary depending on the style, design and thickness of the ring. It's also a very personal piece of jewellery, with everyone requiring a different size. Here we've given you tips on how to get the perfect fit, as well as a downloadable PDF that can be printed off at home to accurately see what size you are.
Generally in the UK, jewellers operate with an alphabetical system of ring sizes. If you know your size as a numerical value then you can easily convert this to the alphabetical system. Google 'ring size conversions' for more information. You can also measure the inner circumference of a ring that fits you and convert this into a size.
Worried about getting it wrong? Don't panic, we won't let you go away without some good advice on the ring you are purchasing - we will let you know at the time as to whether the chosen ring can be obtained in a different size if the one you purchase turns out to be incorrect or whether a resize may be the best way forward so that if it doesn't fit on the day, you aren't stuck with a ring that can't be worn!
Ring Sizing tips:
1. Warm up your fingers before measuring – if possible, measure at the end of the day when your fingers will be at their largest. Avoid measuring your finger size when your hands are cold as they will be at least a size smaller.
2. Your ring should fit your finger comfortably - being snug enough so that it will not fall off, but loose enough to slide over your knuckle.
3. Rings with a thicker band will feel tighter than a thin band. For these purchases, we normally recommend going up a full size when ordering.
IMPORTANT: Custom made rings can not be refunded as they are made just for you, by the artisan. However, if the ring is not the right size, it may well be possible for your local jeweller to adjust it for you.

Bracelets and Bangles
Bracelets and Bangles are generally easier to get your head around compared to rings. However, it's still necessary to ensure they fit properly so you don't lose them when you're out and about. It's also worth noting that a fair few of our bracelets are adjustable, making the process a whole lot easier.
Some bangles and bracelets are measured in circumference (total length). To find the correct size you can measure the circumference of a bangle/bracelet you already own.
Alternatively, you can bring your thumb across your hand to touch your small finger and measure around your hand at its widest point. This is the circumference of the bangle that will fit you - add about 2cm (3/4") for comfort.
Some are measured in diameter. To find the correct size you can again measure the diameter of a bangle/bracelet you already own, or you can move your thumb across your hand like the last method, only this time you measure the distance from one side to the other (typically the length across your knuckles).
For bracelets that don't need to slide over the hand and are fastened, then simply measure the circumference of your wrist to determine if it will fit. Remember you don't want it slipping off your hand so make sure the widest point of your hand is large enough to ensure this doesn't happen.
